Behind Abstract Serenity

MEET DESIREE

I've been into crystals and the metaphysical on and off my whole life. When my nana was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2007 and traditional medicine was failing, I turned toward the metaphysical. She wasn't going to give up without a fight and neither was I. I set up three white candles with some incense. Every night when I came home from sitting with her at the hospital, I would light them and set intentions. I had spells cast, spirits bound, and had healing energy sent her way. I didn't know what I was doing, but it felt right so I ran with it. When she lost her battle, I dove even further into the metaphysical, crystals and spells as a way to cope with my loss.

Things got hectic and I put it all on the backburner. I continued to collect, but wouldn't actively work with the crystals or spells. As business owners or busy people in general, it is easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of life. We lose sight of other dimensions and tools we can tap into. We forget about the mystical value the metaphysical or crystals has to offer. The reality is, it is easy to get wrapped up with the mundane aspects of life, so why shouldn't we want to escape to a mystical world where the possibilities are endless?

I thought about starting Abstract Serenity fairly early in my journey with the metaphysical, but I kept putting it off and found every excuse possible. It just wasn't the right time. Then here came the pandemic and it created some extra time for me to delve deep, reflect, and realize it was time. I could fit the metaphysical in with being busy and being a business owner. It is completely acceptable that my timing and journey differs from other people. It's completely okay that I'm different than others. It was up to me to determine what my journey was going to look like instead of trying to fit into what worked for other people.

I want Abstract Serenity to be an escape for busy people that may not have a lot of time to do rituals or tons of time to meditate. A website that will become a place where they are able to get everything they need for their journey. A space for people that are drawn to the aesthetics of crystals and the energy they emit, but are likely just getting started and finding their footing. We are on this journey together. I am by no means an expert, but I love to learn and I will never put anything on the website until I understand it.

I was guilty of thinking the only way to partake in the metaphysical was to dedicate a lot of time and if I didn’t have that kind of time, I couldn’t do it. I finally learned that there is no right or wrong amount of time. It can fit into a busy schedule and will fit into our schedules the way it is meant to. Telling myself that I didn’t have time was only cheating me out of experiencing the metaphysical and the vibrations and energies crystals have to offer.
